Personal data we process

Depending on how you use the website, data may include technical connection and security logs (such as IP address, timestamps, requested pages, browser/device details and error logs); information you enter into the trip planner and cost tools (such as origin/destination, vehicle parameters, state of charge and tariff inputs); contact details you send us; transaction and billing information if paid features are offered; and your optional analytics preference stored in your browser.

Purposes and legal bases

We use technical data to deliver, maintain and protect the website and investigate faults, relying where applicable on legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR after balancing rights and interests. We use data entered into the planner and calculators to provide the requested feature or take steps at your request before entering a contract, where applicable under Article 6(1)(b). Transaction data may be processed to provide paid services and meet legal accounting or tax duties under Article 6(1)(b) and (c), where applicable. Optional aggregated event analytics requires prior opt-in consent under Article 6(1)(a), where required.

Recipients and sharing

Data may be processed by technical providers needed to operate the service, including Render for hosting and infrastructure. If payment or subscription features are offered, Stripe may process payment and transaction data for payment processing, fraud prevention and applicable compliance duties. Mapping, geocoding, routing or charging-data providers may receive the minimum information required for a feature you request. Providers may act as processors or independent controllers depending on the service and their terms. We do not sell personal data. We may disclose information where required by law or necessary to protect rights and security.

International transfers

Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area or allow access from other countries. Where required, transfers will rely on an applicable adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards under GDPR. See Render data processing terms and Stripe's data processing addendum. Actual providers and data flows must be reviewed as features are activated.

Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for its purpose and applicable legal duties. Contact records are retained as needed to handle the enquiry and relationship. Infrastructure and security logs follow provider-specific settings and retention periods, which may vary by service plan; we do not claim one universal period for those logs. If aggregated analytics is enabled in future, daily counters are intended to be deleted after 90 days.

Security

We apply technical and organisational measures proportionate to risk. Depending on the service, these may include encryption in transit, access controls, credential management, least-privilege access, security logs, updates and backups. No internet-connected system can guarantee absolute security. Provider controls and configurations should be reviewed periodically.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability, and withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior lawful processing. Contact [email protected]. You may complain to the Portuguese Data Protection Authority, CNPD. We may request reasonable information to verify your identity.

Cookies and analytics

Optional event analytics requires affirmative opt-in. Preferences can be managed on our Cookie Policy page. Only approved event names are sent, not names, emails, routes, coordinates or form values. Aggregated daily event counts are retained for up to 90 days. The website is served by Cloudflare Pages and the analytics endpoint by backend infrastructure hosted on Render.
